3/28/2023 0 Comments Bioshock infinite bird or cage![]() It's like a promise Booker is making her, one she knows he will never deliver on, "that is an oath you cannot keep", by giving her the bird you are promising her freedom which she never gets because she is forced to essentially end her own existence when she wipes out Comstock.Īll in all the Cage represents a trophy and an acceptance of the past for Elizabeth whereas the Bird represents an unfulfillable promise and a foreboding adversary, to me at least. She can't leave and the bird feels fake because of that. Sure it could signify that she is now free like a bird but she in fact isn't. Open your world to the fandom of Bioshock with the Tower Bird/Cage Key Wear it on a necklace or add a keyring to show off your Lutece spirit. On the other hand, to me, the bird is representative of the songbird who is still alive and hunting her down. But most beautifully of all is that it's chosen by Booker, almost like a gift, he broke into and destroyed her prison then gave it to her to wear as a trophy. I guess its only super small stuff then. It even holds the key in it's name, C A G E are the notes she uses to control the bird. The cage is is small and close to her heart, symbolizing that it's in the past but still part of her that she won't forget. The cage in the pendant is empty, symbolizing her escape from it. ![]() It's so beautifully signifies her situation after escaping the tower. ![]()
